Meet our New Station Manager!

We are delighted to announce some new organizational changes to the management of the station. The first of these changes comes in the critical role of volunteer Station Manager, which will be filled by long-time volunteer Kris Shapiro.  Kris has demonstrated her commitment to the station with her ability to lead and her in-depth knowledge of station operations.

Supporting Kris in her role is a strong team of coordinators comprised of the following KPTZ volunteers:

Larry Stein, Program Director

Bill Putney, Chief Engineer

Ann Katzenbach, News Coordinator

Cheryl Specter, Volunteer Coordinator

Tim Quackenbush, Coordinator of Broadcasters

Bethany Patten, Traffic Coordinator

Jessica Randall, Youth Coordinator

Mike Schleckser, Remote Broadcast Coordinator

Jacqueline Mention, Communications Coordinator

Marilyn Butz, Bookkeeper

The above organizational changes come not only as a result of efforts to streamline the station’s operations, but they also mark the start of a restructuring of the KPTZ Board, which is taking steps to separate itself from the station’s daily operations. Please join us in welcoming Kris Shapiro and her team!
