They talk about a hearing that is still open about the adoption of the new building codes, the new fire inspection program, and other amendments to our code. Phil will talk about the International Building Code and how it meshes with local code, and the delays and litigation that have been pushing back the implementation of the new 2021 code.

(Airdate: July 14, 2023) Greg Brotherton zoomed in from Andrea’s Beauty and Barber in Quilcene (where he was getting his hair cut) to talk with KPTZ guest host Taylor Clark about sewer systems (this seems to be a favorite topic for Taylor) as well as upcoming community meetings: July 19 at the Tri-Area Community Center, August 18 in Gardiner, September 8 in Brinnon, Sep14 in Quilcene, and October 6 at the Hoh Tribal Center, all at 6pm. They also talked about the PUD fiber project and made a plea for civil community dialogue. Closing Music was “Please Don’t Let me be Misunderstood”.
