Brewocracy Now is a live interview and discussion program about Port Townsend civic issues hosted by Taylor Clark.
Why Brewocracy Now? Well, when former cohost Port Townsend CIty Manager John Mauro started his role here in 2019 he felt that getting out in public and meeting with the community informally was an important part of the job, so he pledged to schedule meetings at local coffee shops to engage in a discussion about all things Port Townsend. Then Covid happened and coffee shops were off limits. So he took to the airwaves on KPTZ for Brewocracy Now. So its 'brew' as in coffee. And its about bureaucracy. And it is not "Democracy Now" which airs at 11am.
John has moved on now, but each Thursday at 12:30pm, KPTZ's Taylor Clark gets together with new voices to continue this discussion of govermental doings in Port Townsend. We have guests and we welcome questions via dj@kptz.org. Join us and learn more about this great city we live in.

KPTZ's Taylor Clark and Port Townsend Interim City Manager Steve King talked about the good work of the Trash Task Force, and about current situation with the Comp Plan. Steve called for 'kindness and grace' and reflected on the importance of the planning process. We also talked about the street painting process at Lawrence and Tyler being done along with the Port Townsend Farmers Market.
